About Me

Kevin Smith, the creator of Terminator Training Method (TTM), is a former Special Forces Medical Sergeant (18D) and Intelligence Sergeant (18F). After a 12-year Army career—all of which was spent training for and operating as a Green Beret—he decided to move on in pursuit of his next (and current) chapter: coaching and mentoring the next generation of Green Berets and other SOF hopefuls through his coaching and content creation at TTM.

He earned the nickname “Terminator” from his Green Beret colleagues after squatting 450 lbs, deadlifting 550 lbs, running seven 6-minute miles, and then rucking eight 8-minute miles—all within a four-hour time span, and all at a slender 6'1", 184 lbs.

For over two decades, he has been religiously studying and self-experimenting with different forms of training and performance-based nutrition strategies. In recent years, he has established himself as an industry front-runner in the hybrid and tactical athletics scene, meshing the art and science of endurance training, bodybuilding, powerlifting, and general physical preparedness (GPP)—as well as the nutrition nuances necessary to support such disciplines.

Kevin is constantly searching for and experimenting with new ways to improve himself—not just in fitness and nutrition, but in all areas of personal development. He has a passion for implementing his findings in his coaching and content creation.

He has strong opinions on the mainstream fitness industry and the general state of the world, and he has no qualms about sharing them with all who will listen. He’s spent years studying and putting new concepts into practice, constantly iterating in an effort to identify best practices for sustainably changing your body, achieving elite performance, and improving your health.

Over the years, he has experimented with countless training methodologies and received mentorship from some of the world’s most accomplished coaches and experts. His extensive history across a wide variety of sports and fitness disciplines has provided him with a wealth of evidence-based data and thousands of case studies on what works—and what doesn’t.

His breadth of knowledge extends well beyond fitness, encompassing personal and professional development, lifestyle optimization, and performance-driven living—all with the goal of making life more exciting, productive and fulfilling.

Kevin is insatiably curious—a trait he holds with high regard—living, eating, and breathing everything involving fitness, nutrition, health, productivity, performance, communication, business growth, relationships, and the pursuit of lofty, uncommon goals. He has an extreme distaste for mediocrity and vehemently believes that anyone in pursuit of accomplishing big things must share this disposition.

Although a constant work in progress, Kevin admits he’s not as savvy with technology, marketing, or behind-the-scenes business systems as he’d like to be. He considers himself the X’s and O’s guy through and through. But like any great operation, versatility is key—and fortunately for him (and for you, the reader), his wife and TTM’s CMO, Monica, is a marketing expert with an MBA who has helped make TTM’s website and programs aesthetic, user-friendly, and professional.

Thank you for being here. We hope to play a small role in your quest for elite fitness and personal development.
