This program is for the serious athlete that wants to broaden their spectrum of fitness to multiple different domains. The program is designed by a Special Operations Forces (SOF) athlete, primarily for SOF athletes. By following this program, you’ll get stronger, more muscular, and develop a better aerobic engine. The program focuses on high intensity, percentage and RPE based strength and hypertrophy training, interval running (or your cardio modality of choice), tempo training, and longer endurance focused training. The key to improving simultaneously at interfering disciplines (like strength and endurance) is knowing which energy system to train, when to do it, how to recover from it, and how to manipulate intensity and avoid overreaching. This program is one that I've followed on and off for years at a time, and I was able to significantly improve my performance in the gym, on the track, and in the mountains (while remaining injury free!) Following this program enabled me to squat 450, deadlift 550, run 7 miles in 42 minutes, and ruck 8 miles in just over an hour all in the same day within a 4 hour time frame. These training principles work. The program will surely put your mental and physical capacity to the test. With the purchase of this program, here’s what you’ll have access to:
- 17 weeks of training broken into 4 phases, each 4 weeks long and a deload week halfway through
- Program is designed primarily for high performing Special Operations Forces (SOF) athletes
- Progressive intensity increases and rep range manipulation for the power lifts
- You will squat heavy once each week, bench twice each week, and deadlift heavy every 2 weeks (with DL assistance work during the other week)
- 3 Conditioning workouts per week with varying volume and intensity
- You have the option to use a straight bench press bar or a Swiss bar depending on goals and shoulder health
- Although the program is more tailored to running improvement, you have the option to substitute any cardio modality you’d like
- Each week consists of 5 training days and 2 rest days
- Included in the program is a detailed intro, FAQ, and exercise substitution library
