The TTM Personal Development Guide
Real, no fluff personal development from a Former Green Beret.
You’re not looking for another self-help book that tells you to “manifest” or “just believe.”
Hoping, wishing, manifesting, affirmationing your way to excellence is all complete nonsense.
You’re looking for the missing piece most high-performers never address until it’s too late.
Action is the one and only answer.
The Problem
Most people spend their waking hours doing the polar opposite of personal development.
I call it ‘personal degradation’.
The result? They stay average. They spin their wheels. They dream, but never do.
As such they get bypassed by people who are willing to do the uncomfortable, boring work.
Those doing exceptional things are products of none other than their day-to-day decisions in the areas of: nutrition, training, sleep habits, character, high standards, decision-making, stress management, relationships, energy, focus, and the courage to keep raising the bar long after most people quit or “pivot” (AKA quit, but cope by calling it a pivot).
Personal development has become a buzzy, often cringey niche. And plenty of it is indeed over the top. Some of it is straight-up horrendous.
But the fact is, the bar for extraordinary outcomes is low. And it keeps getting lower. Daily.
And the people who take real personal development seriously set themselves apart, head and shoulders—hell, full damn torso—from everyone else.
But it isn’t a quick-fix or hackable endeavor. The work is hard. It’s uncomfortable. It’s failure-ridden. You’ll feel like quitting.
Others will call you weird, extra, or excessive. But that’s the whole entire point.
I Learned It the Hard Way - Don’t Be Like Me
I went to SFAS as a 22-year-old 18X who had never even heard of personal development. I got selected.
I later successfully completed The Mystical Long Walk. Hearing “Welcome to Delta” was easily the crowning moment of my career.
Till it all came to a halt.
Two-thirds of the way through the Unit’s Operator Training Course (OTC), I got booted—despite being one of the most physically capable guys on property.
Fitness had always been my crutch. Everything else? Severely lacking.
That failure was the wake-up call of all wake-up calls.
Since then I’ve been obsessed with the “other stuff.” I’ve helped hundreds of 1:1 clients (and thousands more through programs) prepare for SOF selections and smash hybrid goals.
I’ve studied the people who actually know what they’re talking about and applied the concepts myself. I’ve been obsessed with getting a bit better every single day.
No theory. No academic jargon or research reviews.
Just what works when the stakes are high and the excuse arsenal is empty.
This guide started as an attachment to the TTM SFAS Training Program. After enough requests, I expanded it into a standalone resource for anyone chasing big success—whether you’re aspiring SOF, current or former, or completely non-SOF and just done settling for mediocrity.
The Plan
Inside you’ll get a practical, a-la-carte blueprint covering:
-
Why investing in yourself is non-negotiable (and the difference between spending and investing)
-
Sleep, nutrition, lab work, and stress management as the non-negotiable foundation
-
Habit cultivation, vice cessation, higher standards, mental fortitude, and decision-making
-
Charisma, relationships, and monk mode
-
SFAS-specific pro tips (attention to detail, foot care, ruck setup, heat adaptation, etc.)
-
Entrepreneurship mindset, wantreprenuer warning, the grind, seasons, social media, etc.
-
Rapid-fire goldmine tactics + curated reading lists (~80+ S-tier books on PD + business)
- 188-page ebook
You don’t need to do everything at once. Start with the foundations. Identify your specific weak points. Apply what you need. Reference it for years.
Even if you apply 10% of it, you’ll see outsized returns.
What Success Looks Like
You don’t recognize yourself 6 months ago…every 6 months forever.
You develop better habits, sharper decision-making, real mental fortitude, and the ability to set and uphold unreasonably high standards.
You improve how you show up as a spouse, parent, leader, teammate, and professional.
You stop getting bypassed by people with more curiosity and gumption.
You learn that success lives on the other side of choosing the hard, uncomfortable option daily.
You never feel like you’ve “arrived.” Complacency exits the chat. Every summit is false.
The Cost of Staying Where You Are
Most people will keep scrolling, keep partying, keep gossiping and complaining.
They’ll keep aiming for “normal”, and avoiding discomfort for instant pleasure.
These same people will then keep wondering why the go-getters who do the hard, uncomfortable work pull away.
They’ll likely call the winners ‘lucky’, while considering themselves helpless victims.
Don’t be most people.
The growth potential is virtually infinite.
The only question is whether you’ll do the work.
Stop waiting for a career failure of epic proportions to force the issue.
Get the guide. Start now.
